Getting Involved and Jobs

The Glendale Trust is a volunteer organisation and all the directors volunteer their time in order to deliver the Trust objectives for Glendale. The directors welcome any support that can be given in order to help with the ongoing projects. Support can be in various forms such as joining a working group or becoming a director.

Become a Member

Full membership of the Trust is open to all those living in the area of Glendale and associate membership is available for any non residents. To become a member please fill in the application form here.

AGM

The nest AGM is on April 8th at 3:00pm in the Glendale Community Hall.

Current Vacancies

THE GLENDALE TRUST – LOCAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Application deadline: Friday 28th April 2017

Part time position: 20 hours per week

Duration of contract:  31 March 2018 (current funding)

Salary:  £25,480 pro rata

Applications are invited from energetic and self-motivated individuals who can act as a catalyst for innovative and sustainable community development in Glendale.  Although employed by and answerable to the Trustees, the Local Development Officer will work closely with interest groups and the community as a whole.

The applicant will have a good understanding of the issues affecting fragile rural areas, some experience in management and good communication skills.  The ability to work on one’s own initiative is essential.  Prior experience in community-led development would be advantageous as would a knowledge and affinity for the locality.

The Local Development Officer post is being funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise until 31 March 2018 with potential for continuation beyond this date.  There may also be an opportunity for an increase in hours depending on the demands of the Trust’s projects.
