The trusts IT project coordinator Catriona Canning has today (25th October) received funds from The Allen Lane Foundation to see the continuation of the popular IT project. The Trust was instrumental in sourcing the original funding for the IT project when it started. The project employs one part time member of staff and delivers twice weekly IT drop in sessions. The trust had some disappointing news today. We have been unsuccessful at being accepted onto the second stage of the Coastal Communities Funding (CCF) programme. We were applying to this fund to repair and extend the slipway at Meanish Pier along with installing a pontoon. Affordable Housing Project
The trust has been awarded stage 1 funds from the Scottish Land Fund to start the process of purchasing land for affordable housing. These funds will cover valuations on the two plots we have identified and pre-acquisition legal fees. We will be applying for stage 2 funds to complete the purchase.
